Coloressence High Definition Foundation HDF-2: Review & Swatches

Recently I indulged myself in another beauty haul!

I love buying new beauty products and trying new things available over the counter. This one is from the brand Coloressence, a color cosmetics brand of Nature’s Essence. The brand is quite popular and easily available in the Indian market, so you can try this one too, if you are looking for something budget friendly and suitable to Indian Skin. From entire haul, I will be reviewing only Coloressence High Definition Foundation today...

Let's get started with the review!

Product Claims

High Definition foundation make the skin smooth and flawless. Its active ingredients helps the skin in  revitalizing and correcting visible signs of ageing. Ideal make-up for every day use or professional use. With SPF-20, it covers skin imperfections flawlessly while remaining invisible .

Ingredients

Vitamin E, Ethylexhyl Methoxy cinnamate, Titanium Dioxide

List of ingredients is very short, mentioning only active ingredients which is a bit disappointing. I hope the brand mentions a little more clearly about the ingredients.

Cost

Rs. 590/- for 30 ml (1.01 Fl.Oz.)

As compared to other popular brand, I feel the quantity and price is justified. Also, the formulation is a little runny giving you ample time to apply it on the skin. If you are using applicator sponge or brush, no need to be worried about the product being absorbed and wasted. For daily use, only pea size amount is enough.

Shelf Life

36 months or 3 years!
Shelf is pretty good for this one as most of us are not able to finish the foundation short periods.

Packaging

Packaging is really attractive. A transparent tough plastic bottle with black details. Pump makes it easy to use right amount of Coloressence High Definition Foundation while sea through bottle tells you how much us left. The cap closes firmly making it rather easy to travel with carrying it in your purse.

Shades

This one is HDF-2 which is suitable for fair to light skin tone. Coloressence High Definition Foundation is available in 5 skin tones, making it easy for you to select one for super fair to dark skin tones, which is a good thing for girls having dusky or dark skin.

Pros

  • Feather soft texture, feels very light making it perfect for daily use!
  • Did not make my skin to break out
  • Staying power is considerable, but it's winters so I cannot tell you if it will be staying long on skin during summers.
  • Aqua based formula, keeps skin moisturized.
  • HD formulation gives a super flawless coverage.
  • Pea size amount is enough for daily usage, however you can take more for better coverage.
  • Great for oily skin since it controls oil for 3-4 hours.
  • Travel friendly packaging
  • Easy to use pump

Cons

  • Lack of detailed ingredients list
  • a little runny ( although it is not a problem but might seem to some)
  • Lasting power is a bit short.
  • Girls who sweat a lot may not find it long lasting.
  • Need 2-3 layers for dark spots.

I have used several foundations, but this one is really worth the money. The texture is smooth, does not dry my skin and stays on for quite some time. Also, the formulation is really good so a little goes a long way.

If you want a foundation for daily usage which is light and good for skin, this is a must try. Stay out for more reviews on my Coloressence haul.

Lots of Love!!!
XOXO
