Never Buy Maybelline SuperStay Foundation From Nykaa or anywhere | Real Review

We all use foundation, sometimes every day or sometimes on special occasions. It is such an innocent and essential beauty product that every girl has in her beauty arsenal. any flawless full face of makeup is incomplete if your foundation is not there or if you end up using the wrong shade, it is going to harm your look too. So, today I will share my experience of purchasing Maybelline SuperStay Foundation from Nykaa, a very popular online beauty store.

You must be thinking about what exactly happened and why you should never buy this foundation from Nykaa. Let me tell you.

I wanted a foundation and after a little research about the available options, I placed an order for Maybelline SuperStay Foundation from Nykaa in the shade 128 Warm Nude. I was excited to get it within just 2 days of placing the order. But this excitement didn't last for long. the actual product was a bit dark, darker than the image that was shown on the website.

It Turned BLACK!

So I thought of trying it out on my hand and when I was touching my skin to feel the texture of the foundation over there, it started turning black. Wherever I was touching with my hand, a black streak formed. And I was I shocked to realise that it was reacting to my silver ring - A 925 Silver Sterling ring!

I have never experienced anything like this with any other foundation and mind you, I have tried several Indian brands like Lakme and international ones such as MAC, Geri G, Nyx and Innisfree.

Please don't buy foundations from @Mynykaa especially Maybelline New York SuperStay ones.⠀ ⠀ They are fake and harmful to the skin. I swatched one on my skin and it turned black as soon as I touched it with my silver bangle. I checked it again with my silver ring and it turned really black, leaving black streaks all over my skin that had the foundation on.⠀ ⠀ Please avoid it if you want to save your skin from any damage. ⠀ After questioning their customer care about this, the guy simply told me he cannot do anything and that he will not accept the return as well.⠀ #Fakeproducts #nykaa #maybellinesuperstay #foundation #beauty #beautyblogger #WTF #shocked #delhiblogger #Skincare #skindamage #delhi #nykaabeautyhaul #cheating #truthrevealed #Superstayfoundation #dontbuy #Stayaway #makeup #makeupproducts #fakemakeupproducts #instapopular #bloggergirl #swatch

I panicked and called the customer care, they simply refused to deal with the situation and said we cannot refund the opened bottle of foundation. After sending them the email, and even asking for the authenticity of the product, they again repeated the same thing along with telling me a SHOCKING TRUTH!

Maybelline SuperStay Foundation Contains LEAD!

So, if you are looking for lead-free makeup, this is certainly not the brand for you. It was confirmed by the Nykaa team when I confronted them about this foundation issue. The lady that called me to assure about the authenticity of the product, said it is not lead-free so maybe the metals that are inside the foundation formula are reacting with the silver jewellery and turning black. She also said that it is totally safe for your skin.

But how can a product that contains LEAD be safe for my skin!

I am utterly shocked!

Ingredients that are mentioned on the website all over the internet are,

Cyclopentasiloxane, Aqua / Water, Polypropylsilsesquioxane, Isododecane, Dimethicone, C30-45 Alkyldimethylsilyl Polypropylsilsesquioxane, Peg-10 Dimethicone, Glycerin, Silica, Dimethicone/polyglycerin-3 Crosspolymer, Sodium Chloride, Nylon-12, Phenoxyethanol, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Disodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Cyclomethicone, Chlorphenesin, Ethylparaben, Disodium Edta, Acrylonitrile/methyl Methacrylate/vinylidene Chloride
Copolymer, Aluminum Hydroxide, Dipropylene Glycol, Isobutane, Paraffin, Sodium Citrate, Tocopherol, Isopropyl Alcohol, [+/- May Contain Ci 77891 / Titanium Dioxide, Ci 77491, Ci 77492, Ci 77499 / Iron Oxides ] G854042

It doesn't mention the presence of LEAD in it, but we all know, Maybelline never mentioned the entire list of ingredients used in the product on the packaging.

Also, this foundation oxidises like anything. If and only if you are going with this, try a lighter shade. but I will advise you not to wear any cosmetics that contain LEAD. Over a period of time, they will cause harm to your skin such as premature ageing, acne, and such other skin related issues. If you love your skin, go with safe cosmetics suitable for your skin.
