Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask Berry Review

Adding to my bucket of Korean beauty products, my next product is from Laneige. This popular Amore Pacific company for skin care products in Korea is known for its hydrating skin and lip care products. I got Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in Berry from the brand as my lips are always dry and dull. I have dark lips which look so weird when they are dry. I have tried several lip balms and scrubs but nothing seems to work. So, I thought, maybe this lip mask might give it some hydration since it is so popular in Korea.

According to the Brand

The Lip Sleeping Mask by Laneige gently melts away dead skin cells from the lips, making the lips feel smooth and elastic. Experience smooth firming lip night care with the new lip sleeping pack. Berry extracts being rich in vitamin C and antioxidants act on dry, rough lips, making them smooth and supple. Laneige's patented moisture technology puts active ingredients such as hydro ion mineral water, evening primrose root extract, and hunza apricot extract in the dense beta-glucan moisture film (network). It helps skin absorb the ingredients densely into skin during 8 hours of sleep.

Features:
  • A leave-on lip mask that soothes and moisturizes
  • Has a softening balm texture that closely adheres to lips
  • Offers a nutritiously sweet and fragrant blend
  • Forms a protective film over the lips to lock in moisture
  • For smoother and more supple lips

How to use

Apply generously and leave on overnight. Gently wipe off remains the next morning. This is my last step to 10 step Korean skincare.

Packaging and texture

It comes in a gorgeous pink coloured tub. For some people, the tub packaging might be a bit unhygienic but it is fine for me. The texture of the lip mask is smooth heavy balm type. You will only need a little for your lips so this small tub is going to last for quite some time. It doesn't feel heavy on the lips and settles down nicely. The light fragrance of berries, sorta strawberry is also very soothing and helps you relax in the nighttime routine.

My Take

For me, this is the last part of my everyday Korean night skincare routine. Often we forget lips while taking care of the skin and slather them with just lip balm which somtimes is not enough. If your simple lip balm is not helping you, you gotta try this one. I loved it! It has helped in retaining moisture to my lips and I can actually go on a full day without applying any balm on them. My lips started feeling soft and supple right from the first use and it has been about 2 weeks now. I advise you to order the smaller 8gm pack and give it a try. Trust me, you will love it!

Pros

  • Very hydrating. Helps even driest of lips.
  • Exfoliating
  • Free from parabens and silicons
  • Helps in making lips plump and supple
  • Little goes a long way, really long
  • Travel-friendly packaging, very cutesy pink
  • Doesn't have harsh chemicals

Cons

  • A tad bit expensive for a lip care product
  • Not easily available, you gotta order it online
  • It does contain some chemicals, actually a lot of them
  • Tub packaging may seem unhygienic to some
