Packaging & Texture

The packaging is pretty standard as compared to other Innisfree lotion bottles. I really love the minimal dark green colour that it has. However, due to the consistency of the lotion, I would have loved it more if it would be in the tube. I have to be a bit careful while taking out the product due to the packaging. The lotion has a cream to gel kind of consistency. It is very lightweight and gentle. When you apply it on your skin, it gets absorbed in seconds leaving no oily layer. Very nice for people with oily skin or ones that produce too much sebum.

My Take

I really love this green tea balancing lotion. This is very gentle and hydrating on the skin. It is extremely lightweight, mildly watery and thin. It almost feels more like the consistency of a serum. It spreads very easily and a little goes a long way. You have to be careful when applying because the lotion comes in a screw cap bottle. I often pour out more than I need. I generally rub the excess into my neck. It helped in improving the texture of my skin with all the hydration. I apply it twice a day and that is enough for my skin. It stays supple and soft all day long.

It has a nice minty smell to it – a little like tea tree oil. It’s refreshing and light and not too strong for my taste.

In case you are following the 10 steps Korean skincare routine like me, and finding that products are not getting absorbed into your skin or making it too oily, make sure to give some time to each product. Have a break of about 2 minutes between applications and pat your skin gently for the products to seep into the skin well. It will help you to get an even look.

Pros

  • Very lightweight and non-sticky
  • Hydrates skin well for all day
  • Very refreshing minty fragrance gives cooling effect for summer
  • Great for people with oily skin and combination skin
  • Contains Green tea extracts
  • Free from parabens and harmful harsh chemicals
  • Travel-friendly
  • Little goes a long way

Cons

  • A bit expensive
  • The packaging is not user-friendly. Too much lotion comes out
  • May not be sufficient for people with dry skin
