SKIN&LAB Fre C Sun Lotion SPF50+ PA++++ Review | Best Sunscreen 2019

Sunscreen is a must have a product not only for the summer season but for all throughout the year. It helps in preventing all kinds of sun damage including tanning, sun spots, wrinkles, premature ageing, fine lines, dryness and pigmentation. Since this year is going to be very rigorous and hot, you better buckle up with the perfect sunscreen. I have been trying out several Korean beauty and Korean skin care products, and Sunscreen is a major part of it. So, Let's check out my review on Skin & Lab Fre C Sun lotion with SPF50+ PA++++ and see if this sunscreen worked out or not.

About the brand

The Skin&Lab Fre C Sun Lotion is an SPF product to protect the skin from harsh UV rays. It is formulated with unique hydro-trapping technology to maximize the amount of hydration delivered to the skin while protecting from UV rays with a refreshing and light finish. This hydrating sunscreen uses a combination of physical and chemical filters to block out UVA and UVB rays. SPF 50+ PA+++ formulation also has Centella extracts and Vitamin C to brighten skin. Offers a long-lasting effect with no white cast and a fresh, matte finish.

Cost

It is priced at $19.9 for a 50ml tube. However, I got it at Rs. 600 from YesStyle due to ongoing discount and being a Gold Member.

How to Use

1. Used at the last step of skincare.
2. Gently spread over the vulnerable areas to sun rays which are face, neck, arms, and legs.
3. Reapply as needed when you spend a lot of time outdoors.

Packaging & Texture

SKIN&LAB Fre C Sun Lotion comes in a gorgeous summer yellow coloured tube with a clear cap on top. The thin nozzle allows you to take out the required amount of sunscreen and use it properly. I love the packaging as it is travel-friendly and have a summery vibe to it. The texture of the sunscreen is not very satisfactory to me. It feels gel-ish on touch, but as soon as you start working around on your skin, it feels heavy and oily. the brand claims it to be instantly moisturising for the skin which it surely does but it is a bit overwhelming for me. It also claims to have a matte finish, which I didn't see on my skin.

My Take

I have acne prone combination skin and I sweat a lot. So for someone like me, it will only accelerate the sebum production rather than keeping the sebum on the skin in control. For this, I really loved the Innisfree daily UV protection cream with SPF35 and PA+++ as it controlled the sebum production on the skin leaving a soft matte look. The product claims to be hydrating and mattifying which it does not fulfil completely. It is hydrating, but does not feel light on the skin and definitely not matte at all.

I personally feel that it will be great if you stay inside in air condition or you have a normal to dry skin. People with oily skin should avoid it. Otherwise, it works well on the skin. It has definitely helped in reducing the tanning that I usually get around this part of the year. I will try any other sunscreen with SPF50+ and PA++++.

Sunscreen | How to Buy and Use

For a dry environment and for winters, this can be a great choice due to extreme hydration. I will continue using it during the fall and winter season or when I have to stay indoors in air conditioning.
