Dear KLAIRS Soft Airy UV Essence SPF 50 PA ++++ Review

Any summer skin care routine is incomplete without a good sunscreen. Well, for that matter, not just for the summer season, sunscreen is essential for all year round sun protection. Since I have started focussing on my skin since last year, sunscreen seems to be a major part of my skincare routine. I never step out without applying one and always make sure to carry it with me so that I can freshen up the layer every 2-3 hours. Since the summer season is at its peak, I thought of adding a broad spectrum UV sunscreen to my regime and got Dear Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence with SPF50 and PA++++. Let's have a look at its review!

According to the Brand

The Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence SPF 50 PA++++ is an everyday sun protector for sensitive skin. As is it water-based, it holds a gel-type texture to give a soft weightless and light finish. Also with its high SPF and PA level, it completely guards the skin against UVA, UVB without leaving any greasiness or white cast. A water-based sunscreen, that is non-sticky, light, and fresh. Apply the Soft Airy UV Essence after using this line to shield your skin from UV lights and enhance vitamin effects.

Cost
$23 for 80ml I got it for Rs. 1600 at YesStyle.

Packaging & Texture

Packaging wise the Dear, Klairs sunscreen clearly looks like a proud member of Freshly Juiced line. It has similar detailing as the Dear Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin C serum bottle and Dear Klairs Vitamin E Mask pack. It is a soft tube with a small opening on top. So you can use it moderately. Klairs Soft Airy UV Essence is definitely not a heavy product. It's a lightweight milky formula that doesn't leave a white cast even if the colour of the cream is white. The brand claims it to be a gel-like formula but it is sort of creamy texture, very lightweight though.

The cream gets quickly absorbed by the skin leaving the velvet feeling and a bit of a healthy shine on the surface of the skin. I really like, coz If you remember the previous sunscreen blog about Skin&Lab Fre C sun lotion used to make my skin feel and look very oily and dull. If it comes to the scent then I'm not sure if it's me or I can't smell it at all.

Pros

  • Contains Niacinamide and few healthy ingredients
  • Does not make skin feel oily or sticky
  • Gets absorbed very quickly
  • Suitable for sensitive skin
  • Did not make me break out
  • Feels the very lightweight
  • Works well under makeup
  • Has helped with tanning
  • SPF 50 with PA++++
  • Does not leave a white cast

Cons

  • A bit expensive
  • Not easily available

I really like this sunscreen and will be using it for quite a while. After Innisfree, this seems to be agreeing with my skin well. I am currently using three products from the Dear Klairs Freshly Juiced line and sunscreen is definitely an essential part of it.

Have you tried it? Tell me all about it in the comments below!

Lots of Love!!!
