Wire Nail Art: Jaw dropping Weird Manicure Trend

Nail Art can be as weird and quirky as it is fabulous. We have seen all kinds of weird nail art rainging from fur nails to chocolate nails, but this particular nail art stand out the most- Using wire for creating free form shapes or defining a minimalist nail art on small well manicured nails.

The trend comes courtesy of nail genius Eun Kyung Park, founder of Unistella Salon and inventor of the shattered glass manicures, diamond nails, sunglasses chrome, and so much more. Most recently, she shared her latest invention on Instagram: wire nails.

The technique involves taking pieces of wire and bending them into freeform shapes. It looks like there are two different version of the manicure. In the first, she overlays the wire directly over the nail bed, using one piece to trace the entire outline of the nail and additional pieces to create squiggles and abstract faces to fill up the negative space.

The second version is even more mind-boggling. She keeps the wire outline of the nail, then extends it by looping a second piece of wire over the nail, to create an almond-shaped tip. We’re guessing she uses plenty of nail glue to keep these in place, and the good news is, they’re essentially impossible to chip — since no polish is involved.

Although it seems quite intriguing, but wire nail art is quite simple. All you have to do is get your hands on light polished wires, generally available in craft stores. Give them predefined shapes or use small chunks for minimal effects on your nails. Here are few fabulous wire nail art ideas!

That said, you probably want to be careful if you give these a try. If those edges aren’t filed down properly, an eye-catching manicure can probably turn into your worst nightmare pretty quickly!

Lots of Love!!!
