Date Rape Drug Detecting Nail Polish: Will you try?

A nail polish that can detect drugs in your drink? Well, this sounds quite weird, but yes it is a theory made reality by 4 engineers and one organisation Undercover Colors.

As per the nail polish developer, Undercover Colors, it is a wearable nail tech that identifies the presence of common date rape drugs in a variety of beverages through color change.

The website claims,

THE PROBLEM

1 in 6 women will be sexually assaulted in her lifetime. This unthinkable problem has reached epidemic levels on college campuses. And something must be done about it. Power must be handed back to women in what is a devastatingly powerless situation.

THE TOOL.
OUR TECH.

The only perfect solution to drug induced sexual assault is ending it altogether. As we all work toward that ideal, Undercover Colors’ technology provides wearable protection at your fingertips. Simply dip your finger into a verified beverage and within seconds the presence of prevalent date rape drugs will be identified in color change.

You will have to dip your finger in the drink and let your nail polish detect it, If the color of the nail polish changes, your drink is spiked with Date Rape drug. Whether it is Rohypnol or GHB, the nail polish can easily detect it. You might wanna apply this one on your next blind date or while visiting your favorite bar for a good time.

My personal point of view!

Although it sounds like a great idea but the nail polish can detect only a particular spectrum of drugs while there are hundreds of thousands of drugs available and are used for raping women on dates or in clubs or frat parties. Also, I do not want to rely only on the nail polish to save me from such unwanted circumstances. The society needs to be more responsible towards the safety of women whether they are sitting in office or partying in the club. I should not have to have my guards on all the time for saving me.
However, it is a commendable effort and we should appreciate it. who though our nail polishes can be used as a weapon for fighting crime against women.
So will you be using this nail polish?
Do let me know your thoughts on this!
Lots of Love!!!
XOXO
