Wet n Wild MegaGlo Highlighter Review | When The Nude Strikes

Any makeup look is incomplete without a dash of highlighter. I have recently got into the Highlighter fetish and got my hands on several of them. they were smooth to apply, shimmery and shiny, but the only problem all of them had was that they were all in cake form and quite fragile. I even broke one when I accidentally dropped my clutch. *Sad* So I got myself this Wet n Wild MegaGlo Highlighter stick.

Let me tell you first, I am not into stick products be it concealers, or foundations but wanted to give it a try before making an opinion about it. So, here is my review for the product.

According to the brand

In one swipe of a stick, you can get catwalk-ready cheekbones, naturally flushed cheeks or an insanely glowy complexion. Toss one of these portable makeup sticks in your purse or pocket and you'll be camera-ready in less time it takes to double tap. Available in: Strobe, Contour, Conceal and Blush.
  • Multi-use sticks that conceal, highlight, contour and add a pop of color to the cheeks.
  • Velvety, cream-to-powder blendable formula thats long wearing and crease proof.
  • Ultra-portable sticks can be used anywhere, anytime.
  • Ease of precision and control.

Shade

E800 When the Nude Strikes

This variant is only available in one shade. It is in the nude so it will be suitable for every skin colour. However, I would advise that girls with darker skin tone apply it in limited quantity blending it well on its skin. It tends to develop a whitish layer if not blended properly.

Packaging

Comes in form of a tube with retractable packaging. You will not have to sharpen your product. The texture is very creamy with no oiliness. The shimmer particles are milled into the formula very finely giving you a thorough highlighted look. I really love the packaging as it is easy to carry around in your handbag and you do not have to worry about dropping it or breaking it.

Pros

  • Easy to use due to the design
  • Finely milled glitter particles
  • The creamy formula is easy to blend
  • One shade for all
  • Quantity is a lot for the price
  • Lasts for 2-3 hours on a single application without any setting spray
  • Travel-friendly
  • Did not make me break out or cause any harm to my skin
  • Smooth texture
  • Its vegan and not tested on animals

Cons

  • May look whitish if not blended well
  • It's not that glittery
  • One shade for all may not be liked by many
  • Transfers a little if a setting spray is not applied

Overall, it is a great product available at a low price. If you are tight on budget and need something to last long, this is the one for you. It can be slipped into a clutch bag and can be carried around without any hassle. I prefer to apply some foundation or BB cream below and setting powder or spray on top to make it last longer on the skin and prevent any transfers. Make sure to blend properly otherwise you will not end up with the desired look.
