Myths And Facts

1. LIKE HAIR, NAILS ARE SENSITIVE TO EXTERNAL AGGRESSIONS

IT IS A FACT!

Heat, extreme cold, humidity, repeated washing, or hygiene products weaken and dry your nails. They can split or become brittle. It is essential to maintain them with suitable products such as hardeners, moisturizers, or nourishing oils.

2. THERE IS NO NEED TO APPLY A NEUTRAL BASE COAT UNDER A NUDE SHADE

DEPENDS!

If you are applying a nude shade, you can avoid it. However, matte nail polishes and quick-drying polishes have a tendency to dry out your nails. To ensure the best protection of the nail in the event of frequent application of nail polish, a base coat can be applied. Apart from that, the pigments contained in the red shades will be more likely to yellow your nails than those contained in a nude one. So, if you are applying reds, greens, and yellows, a base coat can also help!

3. REMOVERS DRY OUT NAILS

IT IS A MYTH!

There are mild removers without acetone, that do not contain aggressive solvents, largely of natural origin or infused with vegetable oils that gently remove make-up from your nails and that also have additional care attributes.

4. TO PREPARE THE NAIL BEFORE APPLYING NAIL POLISH, HYDRATE IT WITH A CREAM

IT IS A MYTH!

To ensure the best protection of the nail in the event of frequent application of nail polish, a base coat can be applied.
However, the pigments contained in the red shades will be more likely to yellow your nails than those contained in a nude one.

5. THERE ARE NAIL POLISHES SPECIALLY FORMULATED FOR CHILDREN

IT IS A FACT!

These are water-based nail polishes guaranteeing maximum respect for your children's nails, ultra-bright colors, and smooth application. And to remove them, simply wash hands in lukewarm water.

6. SEMI-PERMANENT NAIL POLISH CAN BE REMOVED AT HOME

IT IS A MYTH!

Removing a semi-permanent nail polish perfectly requires multiple operations and a solvent with acetone. It stays in contact with the nail and the skin, inside the wraps that surround each finger, for at least 20 minutes.
The nails are dried out, weakened, and sensitized.

7. THE USE OF A BASE COAT MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO IMPROVE THE WEAR OF A NAIL POLISH

IT IS A FACT!

Not only does the base coat protect the nail from the coloring of some pigments, but it also ensures better adhesion of the nail polish, which contributes to improving its wear.

8. AN ADDITIONAL LAYER OF TOPCOAT CAN BE ADDED TWO DAYS AFTER APPLYING NAIL POLISH TO PROTECT IT

IT IS A FACT!

The topcoat, or overcoat, can be applied directly after the nail polish once dry, or in ‘touch-up’ during the week that follows.
It dissolves slightly its surface, repairs small snags, and reforms an ultra-smooth protective film bringing additional gloss and wear.
