Just Herbs Gotukola Indian Ginseng Rejuvenating Beauty Elixir Facial Serum | Review

I am crazy about my skincare regime and using something that is gentle on the skin as well as gives me results is very important. Koreans are the ones that made me fall in love with skincare but most of their products have chemicals in them. I wanted something as effective as Korean skincare products while having the ultimate goodness of nature. So, what better would be than trying out an Indian brand that brings out the best of nature right to your vanity box. Just Herbs is one such brand that caught my eye. Everything available with the brand is made using natural ingredients and formulas from Ayurveda which is exactly what I needed. I got two products from them, one skin tint and one elixir face serum. First, let's review Just Herbs Gotukola Indian Ginseng Rejuvenating Beauty Elixir Facial Serum.

According to the brand

The multi-tasking Elixir face serum is a synergistic blend of treasured Indian herbs and acts as an excellent botanical replacement for a traditional chemically derived Vitamin C serum.

How to use

Use the pump to dispense a pea-size amount on your palm. Apply to cleansed face before moisturizer. Gently massage in a circular motion until absorbed.

Packaging & Texture

The packaging is really beautiful with pistachio green shades and golden accents, very classy. The serum comes in a glass bottle with a dark shade which helps in preventing oxidation of the formula since it has Vitamin C. It has a pump so you can take out the right quantity. The serum is very lightweight. Although it looks like a cream, but very light to touch and has a soothing feel on the skin. You need just a little for your face, and it gets absorbed into the skin leaving no white cast or oily film. If you have dry skin, you might need a little more for moisturization but for oily skin and normal skin, this is just perfect. Also, it has a mild herby aroma which most of the ayurvedic products contain and I find it soothing.

Is it worth buying?

If you are looking for a gentle vitamin c serum, this can be your pick. It contains several herbs like Rosehip, Wheatgerm, Safflower, and Moringa seeds along with Liquorice root and Nagkesar. I like to layer skincare products including sunscreen, serums, toners, and essences, so I prefer something that is not very oily or leaves a sticky feel on my skin. This one does it all. It is lightweight on the skin, gets absorbed really fast, and adds a fresh glow to the skin.

I have been using it for about 1 week now and I am really impressed with how it feels on my skin. It has helped in improving the texture of my skin, making it look plump and reducing the visibility of pores. I don't have fine lines or dark circles so not sure if it helps in anti-aging. Hopefully, in a couple more weeks we will see if it helps with my acne pigmentation or not. I will keep you posted. Make sure to apply sunscreen on top if you are using it at day time.
