Biotique Bio Peach Clarifying & Refining Peel - Off Mask: Review

Peel off face masks are a big thing these days. They come with a promise of making your skin smooth and healthy, get rid of the black heads, clean pores and leave a bright skin. So, Instead of trying that popular black charcoal peel off face mask, I thought of getting an ayurvedic one: Biotique Bio Peach Clarifying & Refining Peel - Off Mask. I have been trying Biotique products for quite some time now. They are made with herbal organic ingredients and are free from any unwanted chemicals. If you have been looking for healthy ways for face clean up during Wedding season or just want bright skin, this can be a pick for you. Let's get started with the review...

According to the brand

Peaches have been cultivated for thousands of years, a natural clarifying and curative fruit, especially for oily and acne prone skin. Their peelings and antioxidant-rich fruit have long been used to renew and resurface skin. This exfoliating mask is blended with extracts of peach, plum, cucumber, cabbage, neem and quince seed to deep-cleanse skin and purify pores. Its peel-off action lifts embedded impurities, refines skin texture and clears the way for lighter, brighter skin to surface.

My Take

I have tried peel off masks before but this was the most messy one due to the tub packaging. I would advice you to wear something that you can easily mess. Do it in washroom so you can clean up well afterwards. Wash your face with lukewarm water, scrub it gently if you have clogged pores (this is my trick, you can avoid this step), apply it in thin layer and let it dry. You should tie your hair well and wrap them with headband otherwise they will get stuck in it.

The smell of the formulation really put me off and it sting a little around nose. I tried it once before scrubbing to make sure that it was not my exposed skin but the peel off mask was doing it. It made my skin look bright but did not seem to work on pores well. Our T-zone is the most worrisome place for pores filled with sebum and dirt, but I could not see any on the peel after taking it off.

It got off pretty easily without hurting my skin or the minor hairs (Fuzz). Over all, it is a decent face mask for face cleanup. You can use it to get rid of extra oil and brightness and not blackheads.

Pros

  • Makes skin bright and clean
  • Cleans pores, leaving a fresh feel on skin
  • Organic and preservative free ( as mentioned on pack)
  • Not tested on animals
  • Does not make skin itchy afterwards
  • Dries in little time
  • Suitable for oily skin
  • Cost is fine for the quantity available
  • You need very little amount for every peel off facial

Cons

  • Smells weird. Quite strong alcoholic smell for me.
  • Tub packaging can get a bit messy
  • Smell kinda makes me feel it has preservatives
  • Does not remove blackheads
  • Stings a little so if you have open acne pores or active acne, do not apply this
