Saslic DS Foaming Face Wash Review | Acne Skin Care

Having acne can be really scary. I have sensitive combination skin which is prone to acne and it can be very painful sometimes. when my breakouts occur, they can get out of hand sometimes or get healed the very next couple of day without doing anything. The facewash or cream that worked last time doesn't work anymore. So, I have to keep looking for a new solution for my skin condition and this time I got Cipla Saslic DS Foaming face wash with 2% Salicylic acid.

About the Brand

Saslic DS Face Wash contains 2% of salicylic acid. Salicyclic acid acts as a peeling agent that helps to shed off the top layer of skin to open up follicles that are clogged and are causing acne. It also helps in the growth of new skin cells, overall; it gives a skin which looks much fresher and younger.
Saslic DS foaming face wash should be used as part of the daily cleansing routine for the treatment and prevention of acne for people with oily skin.

Cost
Rs. 350 for 60ml

How to Use

Take about 2 pumps of foam on your hand. Gently massage the foam all over the wet face avoiding eyes and surrounding areas. Allow it to remain for 20 to 30 seconds. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Use twice daily.

I massage it on my skin for about 1 minute instead of leaving it for 20-30 seconds.

Packaging & Texture

The packaging is very simple for Saslic DS Foaming face wash. It comes in a transparent bottle with a white pump on top and a cap. The face wash is very liquidy and comes out as a foam. This is very gentle on the skin so if you have sensitive skin like me and does not want something very harsh, the foaming face wash is great for you.

It doesn't lather much and the foam is absorbed into your skin as you massage it all over the face avoiding lips and eyes. However, it cleans the skin nicely leaving it fresh. Packaging makes it easy for one to take it around in handbag and you can use it anywhere you like massaging it on the skin and wiping off using wet tissue or a little water.

My Take

My acne can get really bad due to sensitive skin. This face wash is very gentle on the skin. You wet your skin, take two pumps of foam and massage it all over your face leaving lips and eyes. It is mentioned that you should leave it on the skin for about 20-30 seconds but I prefer to massage it on the skin for about 1 minute before washing it off. It cleanses pretty well removing all the dirt and oil but if you are expecting it to remove your makeup, it will not help.

Whenever I use makeup, I cleanse it with an oil cleanser first, following it with Saslic DS foaming face wash. It has helped a little with my acne too, reducing the redness and itching, reduced number of new breakouts and healing the already present ones. It has been just a month now but I hope to see good results of it. I have combination skin and it makes it slightly dry after wash so I follow it with a soothing toner. It will be perfect for people with oily skin.
