The Face Shop All Clear! Cleansing Water & Foaming Face wash | Review

Cleansing products are an everyday thing for us now. Starting any skincare or makeup routine without a good cleanser is impossible. To look good to make your skin feel good and soft, to get rid of breakouts and anything you name related to the skin has something to do with cleansing. A good cleansing regime can help you in clearing out your pores well, removing all the makeup and junk from the skin. Recently, The Face Shop launched its All Clear! range of cleansers to target this basic yet best cleansing. From this range, I got cleansing water and cleansing foam which claims to be enough to get rid of all your makeup without needing too many steps. So, let's see how they do it!

Ingredients

Water/Eau, Peg-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Olive Oil Peg-7 Esters, 1,2-Hexanediol, Capryl/Capramidopropyl Betaine, Panthenol, Hydrolysed Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Dilauramidoglutamide Lysine, Coco-Glucoside, Potassium Cocoyl Glycinate, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Citrate, Citric Acid, Peg-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Chloride, Trisodium Edta, Parfum/Fragrance.

How to Use

Saturate a cotton pad and gently swipe from the inner to the outer part of the face, and rinse with water. For colour makeups, place the saturated cotton pad on the area of makeup removal and hold for 3-5 seconds before wiping. Follow with an All Clear All-in-One Foaming Cleanser for a more thorough cleansing routine.

Packaging & Texture

Packaging of The Face Shop All Clear cleansing water is very clean if you know what I mean. It is a translucent bottle with a flip open cap on top and a plain white very minimal packaging. It looks very simple and quite different from the regular The Face Shop vibe. This cleansing water has a watery consistency so you have to be a bit careful while taking it out. I douse a cotton pad with the cleansing water and gently wipe off my make slowly. It has a soft fragrance and does not make the skin dry. For people who find oil based cleansers a bit heavy for their skin, this is best.

My Take

Apart from its bland packaging, I really like this product. It removes every bit of the makeup so nicely leaving a clean feel to my skin. I use an oil cleanser to remove makeup, and this is my first water-based cleanser which, to be frank, I got out of curiosity. And it has done its job pretty nicely. It's just the packaging that is not so The Face Shop style if you know what I mean. If you are into water cleansers, this is totally worth it. The price seems a bit high but with the quantity you get and the effects it gives to your skin, it is worth it.

Also, it contains hyaluronic acid, olive oil and castor oil which are known for their skincare benefits. You can take out makeup in one single wipe and for waterproof makeup, you will need to place the saturated cotton pad for about 5-10 seconds and it will come right off. However, I will advise you to use a foaming face wash after this or any other water based cleanser right after this to make sure you have all the makeup out. Also the brand suggests this as well, so basically this is not sufficient to take it all out.

How to Use

Packaging & Texture

As bland as other products look in this range, this is a razzler dazzler when it comes to packaging. It is a gorgeous looking silver tube with black fliptop. It is a soft tube so it is quite easy for you to take out the product. The face wash is very creamy and has pearl like shimmer in it. The fragrance is also very gentle and I love it.

My Take

It is a pretty standard foaming face wash and just like other face washes from The Face Shop, it does its job of cleaning. But I did not find it enough to take it all out in one single step. The face wash is good to take out light makeup like tinted moisturisers, kajal, lip balm, bb cream or sunscreen. But if you want to take out your makeup or waterproof makeup with it, you will not be able to do so. You need double cleansing with it. With nice foam it produces, it can be a good second step on double-cleansing. The foaming face wash does not dry out the skin so it is a good option.

Pros

  • Cleanses well
  • Both products contain hyaluronic acid and olive oil.
  • Good for removing makeup
  • Quantity is good
  • Travel friendly
  • Does not break out my skin
  • Light gentle scent

Cons

  • Very pricey. You can get many options at this price.
  • Single product is not enough for removing makeup
  • Not easily available

I bought these two as a combo pack at 40% off otherwise I might not have tried it. At this price point, I would love to explore other products. also, I am more of an oil cleanser girl rather than water cleanser coz I find them to be able to cleanse my skin in a better way. I have been using The Face Shop Rice Water Brightening cleansing oil since the past 2 years now and will stick to it.

Tell me your thoughts on these products if you have tried them in the comments below!

Lots of Love!!!
