Lakme 9 to 5 Insta Light Instant Glow Crème Review

I'm a die hard Lakme user. I have been using Lakme products for a decade now, since it was my first cosmetics brand in teenage. But I'm not a big fan of 9 to 5 range by Lakme. The brand range is unable to deliver what it claims.

When I was shopping at Big bazaar, this particular one by Lakme got my eye. It was a new one, available in big bazaar and rather attractive packaging really hit me. Although I do not love using fairness creams or the ones saying instant glow per say, but since it was from lakme, i thought of giving it a try.

Lakme 9 to 5 Insta Light Instant Glow Crème comes in an attractive silver tube. The brand says it is available in two variants, this one being the smallest. However, i did not find the bigger one on the aisle.

It is easy to carry in bag, sort of travel friendly. The tube comes in a 20 gm pack costing Rs. 79. I don't know about the bigger one. Since i was just trying it, I bought the small pack. Girls' here is a tip for you. If you are buying a new product like moisturizer, cream or something which you will be using on your skin, try to buy the smallest pack available, if there is any. This will give you a better idea if the product is good for you or not, and saving your money as well as the hassle of seeing that tube or pack everyday and not using it.

Brand claims:

I tried to capture them in my camera a lot, but the silver color of the packaging makes it rather difficult job. I hope you girls are able to read them.

My take on this  Lakme 9 to 5 Insta Light Instant Glow Crème is it is just another face creme with high claims. The finish is so not smooth, especially when you apply it on dry skin. Do not expect any moisturization from it.

After applying it, the creme does not seem to brighten my skin or lighten my skin, it just adds a white layer on it, which is fairly visible on my face. To prevent it, i try to use it directly after washing my face.

Pros of Lakme 9 to 5 Insta Light Instant Glow Crème:

• Nice, attractive packaging.
• Comes with an outer carton that has all the necessary details.
• I like the finish it gives once it sets; a good matte finish.
• Controls oil and sweat.
• Crème is very light-weight and non-greasy.
• Maintains the skin shine-free for upto 2.5 hours.
• Imparts a feeble glow.
• Reasonably priced.

Cons of Lakme 9 to 5 Insta Light Instant Glow Crème:

• Contains parabens.
• Claims are not at all true!
• Doesn’t do much in giving that ‘instant’ glow and the effects do not last long enough.
• I am not an admirer of the fragrance.
• Tends to highlight the dry areas.
• Just a normal day crème, nothing spectacular about it.
• The sunscreen details are not given which is pretty weird.
Will I buy it again, I don't think so. I guess other creams are better option. You should avoid it completely if you have a dry skin. Girls with oily skin can definitely give it a try for its matte finish lasting at least for a couple of hours.
