It comes in a white colored bottle with maroon mushroom shaped cap. The bottle has a very old school feel to it. It is sturdy enough so you can place it in hot water to heat the oil a bit before massage without over doing it.

Since it has coconut oil as base, it tends to solidify in winters or whenever temperature around oil drops. It has mild bluish tone due to nili oil added to it

How to Use

Take Sesa ayurvedic oil in your palm and gently massage hair roots and scalp with it using finger tips. You can heat the oil by keeping it in hot water or under direct sunlight for hot oil massage. Do not heat the oil directly since it can damage the texture and composition of oil.

My Take

I suffered from severe hair loss due to long term illness. Seeing lots of hair on my brush one day, our house help suggested me this oil. I have been using it now for about 2 months and yes, there is a significant improvement in my hair health.

I massage my scalp using Sesa ayurvedic hair oil twice a week, leave it over night and wash it off the next day using gentle shampoo. Hair fall has reduced at an alarming rate since now I do not see much on my hair brush which used to be full of hair.

All in all, it is a good hair oil for massaging your scalp and hair roots keeping them well moisturised. It is 100% herbal with no mineral oil and chemicals which is a good thing if you are looking for organic hair care products.

Pros
  • 100% herbal and organic with no artificial additives or parabens.
  • Has triphala (amla, shikakai and reetha) known for making hair shiny and healthy
  • Gives relief from dandruff and itchy scalp with regular use
  • Helpful in reducing hairfall
  • Inexpensive and easily available in your local drugstore or grocery store.

Cons

  • Has a very strong smell which might be a turn off for many.
  • Coconut oil base can be a little sticky during winter season or when you apply too much.
  • Can take a significant amount of shampoo to get it off.

Sesa hair oil is a good herbal hair and has reduced my hairfall amazingly. I love it and am planning to use it forever. Have you tried it? Share your inputs with me in the comments below!
