L'Oréal Paris Extraordinary Clay Shampoo & Conditioner Review

I have been waiting to try L'Oréal Paris Extraordinary Clay Shampoo & Conditioner since the day it was launched. I am a bit late but finally got my hands on these and tried. With the increasing pollution and stressful lifestyle it is not easy to keep our hair fresh looking for long. On the second day of hair wash they tend to become very oily and sticky, which can get worse if you have oily hair.

With a promise of giving fresh looking hair for 72 hours straight using the power of clay, L'Oréal Paris Extraordinary Clay has quite high claims. My hair generally stays fresh after wash for about 2 days. Later, the scalp becomes slightly oily while the tips stay dry. Let's see if this does any magic to resolve this issue or not!

Both the conditioner and shampoo bottle are similar in looks and it can be a bit confusing. You have to read the label to make sure which is what especially when you are in hurry.

My Take

I will continue to use the conditioner but for shampoo I have my doubts. It takes a lot of shampoo to get rid of the oil in my hair. I oil my hair before washing them so it will be a problem. I can see girls with oily hair are going to face it although the shampoo claims to be suitable for oily hair. Shampoo might not be able to last long since it took me twice the amount I use normally and still it was not lathering up properly.

Extraordinary clay shampoo did left my hair feeling clean and fresh but it lasted for about 2 days. It is winter times and we are not sweating as much so I have my doubts about the 72 hours claim. Conditioner on the other hand is really good. It has a thick consistency like a body butter making it easy to massage on the hair after washing them. really love the way it makes them soft and manageable.

Pros
  • Extraordinary clay shampoo makes hair refreshingly clean
  • Extraordinary clay conditioner adds a nice moisturisation
  • Shampoo has a minty freshness which I really loved
  • Packaging is quite sturdy making it travel friendly
  • Easily available
  • Cost is low too
  • Keeps hair feel clean for at least 2 days
  • Love the conditioner a lot and its consistency.

Cons
  • Takes a lot of shampoo to clean hair especially oily hair. Will not last long.
  • Lathers very less.
  • Could not find any con in conditioner
