TORN DENIM NAIL ART: DIY

I was looking for a perfect denim nail art for an event and saw this one on Tezio.com. Thought of sharing it with you.

Looking for a stylish way to update your jeans? Want a manicure that goes with everything? This season distressed denim is a strong wardrobe staple. We thought it would be fun to take this look to the nail. Anastasia from Let’s Nail Moscow created this simple fashionable manicure featuring Models Own Blueberry Muffin nail polish.

1) Start with a layer of base coat.
2) Apply 2-3 layers of Models Own – Blueberry Muffin.

Steps 1-2

3) Once your base color is dry, apply some chaotic diagonal brushstrokes with dark blue acrylic paint using a fan brush.
4) Clean up using your clean-up brush dipped in nail polish remover.

Steps 3-4

5) (Optional step) Take a piece of jeans fabric, paint it with Models Own – White Light and slightly dab your nails with it. It will give your design a more worn-out and bleached look.

Steps 5-1,5-2,5-3(optional)

6) Clean up using your clean-up brush dipped in nail polish remover.
7) Make some holes in your “jeans” using your clean-up brush dipped in nail polish remover.

Steps 6-7

8) Add some “torn fabric” details to the holes with Models Own – White Light using your detail brush.
9) Apply a layer of top coat and while it’s still wet place some studs near your cuticles to make your jeans nails even more detailed!
10) Finish off torn denim nail art with a layer of matte top coat.

Steps 8-9-10

Hope you will like these and will try it too. Do share your looks with me on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
