Johnson's Baby Milk Cream- A Perfect Hand Cream: Review & Swatches

I always hear about baby products being used by adults. Some claim them to be effective while others just love the fragrance. Well, I was compelled to try out one when one of my friends suggested baby cream to be a good hand cream. Since baby creams are soft and delicate for human skin, they tend to have positive result. Made for sensitive skin of your baby, it can work wonders on your skin too. I have had few not so well experiences with hand creams due to my sensitive skin, so thought of trying out this one as well.

What harm is there in trying out a baby cream after all.
Let us, get started with the review!

Johnson's baby cream is available in several variants. I thought of trying out Johnson's baby milk cream. It has a very mild fragrance that stays on my hands until I wash it off. Very light weight and subtle on my skin. I borrowed the usual Johnson's baby cream ( the pink tube) from my friend once, and it had a bit strong smell and heavy texture which made my skin a bit oily. If you have dry hands, you can try that one for additional moisturisation.

What the Johnson’s Baby Cream claims

“Clinically proven mild. Contains a unique combination of natural milk extract and Vitamins A & E. with double nourishment, this product helps replenish moisture to leave skin feeling baby soft. Contains rich emollients and added moisturizers helps to give skin an immediate moisture boost.
Good for you, good for baby. Apply daily on face, hands and body.”

Price: Rs. 75 for 50g
Shelf life: 36 months from mfd.

Ingredients:

Water, mineral oil, glycerin, cetyl alcohol, glyceril stearate and PEG 100 Stearate, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Dimethicone, Synthetic Beeswax, Phenoxyethanol and Methyl Paraben and Ethyl Paraben and Propyl Paraben, Carbomer, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Hydroxide, Titanium Dioxide, Stearoxytrimethylsilane Stearyl Alcohol, fragrance, milk protein, Retinyl Palmitate, Tocopheryl Acetate.

It has parabens which came as a big disappointment for me but I really liked the cream. Right after a couple of uses, it made my skin soft and supple. Not like a baby's skin but it was good enough for me. I have been using it for about a week now.

I just wash my hands and apply a pea size amount on both hands. Effect of cream lasts about 6 hours so I prefer to use it 3 or 4 times a day. Once in morning, once at night and whenever I wash my hands in between. A small quantity is more than enough for single use so it will last for a month or so, making it a budget friendly hand cream. If you are looking for something lightweight, subtle and soothing for your skin, this can be an option.

It can be a good hand cream as well as a daily cuticle cream as well. Do give it a try and share your experience with me.

Lots of Love!!!
XOXO

    1. Ooh they do work. I have tried baby shampoo and baby cream. Shampoo is good if you want to get rid of product buildup and want something gentle for your hair. And about this cream... I am loving it!
